Fawad's face not to be replaced by Saif's, say Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' makers

Mumbai: Political parties have threatened to stall the release of the upcoming films ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Raees’, for featuring Pakistani actors like Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, in the wake of the worsening ties between India and Pakistan following the terror attacks in Uri. And there are reports doing the rounds that Mahira will be replaced in ‘Raees’ as shooting with her would be a difficult task in the current situation.

There were also some reports which claimed that the makers of Karan Johar's ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ were toying with the idea of replacing Fawad’s face with Saif Ali Khan's, the original choice for the role, using technology, but decided against it as the release date is approaching.

However, Karan Johar’s production house Dharma Productions has refuted the reports and its official spokesperson was reported as saying, “The news is utter bullshit. Nothing of that sort is happening. The film is prepping up for release the way it currently is.”

‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ is gearing up for release on 28 October and stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
