Ekta Kapoor was quick to respond as she retweeted his tweet and posted the same photo on Instagram and wrote, "Here it is our fav boy the most misunderstood yet affable star we know! He is a darling of the masses (his films open bigger than many so-called stars ) n now he flags off the most imp part of the #lipstickrebellion campaign ! We ask the men who support the ideology of ' equality' to join the #MenForLipstick revolution ! Thankuuuuuuu so much."
For the unversed, the cast of 'Lipstick under My Burkha' has launched a unique campaign called #LipstickRebellion with their classic middle finger poses on social media mirroring the poster that took the world by storm.
Many TV celebs including Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, Mouni Roy, and Drashti Dhami came forward to be part of this movement.
Film stars namely Ratna Pathak Shah, Aahana Kumra, Plabita Borthakur and Konkana Sen Sharma play the key roles in the movie.
Before the release, the movie was embroiled in a controversy with the censor board, which refused to give it a clearance due to 'lady-oriented' content.
