Goodbye Girish Karnad!

The internet is flooded with condolences.

One of the most renowned faces of the Kannada theatre industry, an author, filmmaker and an activist, Girish Karnad died in a hospital in Bengaluru on Monday, as declared by his family. This 81-year-old legend was awarded the Padma Shri in 1974, the Padma Bhushan in 1992 and Jnanpith Award in 1998, which is the highest national award for literature. The internet is flooded with condolences.
