Rajpal Yadav shares his experiences on jail and bail and leading a life of contempt

Rajpal Yadav was sent to jail in December 2013 for submitting a false affidavit in the case.

Mumbai: The Indian Court of Law never spares any individual. From Salman Khan to Sanjay Dutt and now Rajpal Yadav is the next actor who gets the taste of both - the jail and bail. Rajpal Yadav is out on bail.

We caught him on the sets of his film ‘Time Nahi Hai’ where Rajpal was completing the climax scene of the film. Director Manoj Sharma & Producers were impatiently waiting for his arrival. The film stars Krushna Abhishek, Shakti Kapoor and Yuvika. All these actors were present on the sets to complete the sad scene – It was a death scene where in all these comedians bring in some laughter moments… though being a death scene.”

Well! Rajapal Yadav very humbly agreed to break his silence for the first time to Deccan Chronicle.

About his agony while in jail he says, “Uss din bahut apman laga …bolna theek nahi laga ..kuch bhi bolna adalt ka apman hota (It was not a pleasant experience. The very thought of being jailed makes one feel saddened to the core, However, I trust my system) When we talk about system, we Indians have a bonding on par with a family system as well I am proud of the legal Indian system too. The honorable Court passed a judgment and I as a citizen have to abide by it by all means...The feeling was depressing indeed. But I have always complied by the legal abiding. Whenever summoned to attend the Court case, I made it a point to present myself with due respect to the honorable Court.’

Rajpal further says, “I am a victim of politics as well some close ones from my own village who have conspired against me .Neither I nor my wife has ever given any shapthpatr (affidavit) I was awarded punishment. I am sure there is some golmaal (fishy). But since I am a law abiding citizen I have to obey the orders of the honorable Court. I had to go to jail.”

On applying for defamation case Rajpal said,” It is too early for me to decide whether I need to apply for defamation case. Right now,” mien contempt ki zindagi jee raha hoon! (Right now I am leading a life of contempt. I am awaiting the judgment of the honorable Court.)

Rajpal further quips, “I will first make an appeal to the honorable Court and in which I will inquire whether I have taken a loan? Or taken finances for investment purposes or I have done a fraud with the complainant. No individual can fall under all these conditions.”

Adding more he says, “We have been in the industry and all of us know that a film is a team work. Since I decided to be a part of this film,” Ata Pata Lapata.’ I had a clear intention of completing the film. Thus we had invited Shri Amitabh Bachchan to launch the music of our film “Atta Patata apata” and the event was held in a big way. My intentions of making a film were clear. We have to release the rights of the film and then share the money invested with those individuals. But before the final situations, the complainant called for a press meet and started with all this hiccups. I will fight till the end to prove my intentions as I have to come clear for my fans and audiences. Being in this industry for more than 20 years …..I am a through professional and will never do such things to ruin my career at all…..” jiska naam hota hai wahi badnam hota hai “…so, I will not sit quiet until truth prevails.” He concludes.

According to reports Rajpal Yadav was given six months imprisonment by Delhi Court in seven cheque bounce cases for not repaying loan worth over Rs 8 crore to a business man.
