Confirmed! Katrina is a part of Aamir-Amitabh Bachchan starrer Thugs of Hindustan

Mumbai: Putting speculations to rest, superstar Aamir Khan took to micro-blogging site Twitter to confirm leading lady of Bollywood Katrina Kaif’s inclusion to the ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ cast.

He wrote: Finally we have our last thug..... Katrina ! Welcome aboard Kat :-)

After names of Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan were tossed around for a substantial amount of time for the lead opposite Aamir Khan in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, ‘Dangal’ girl Fatima Sana Shaikh was finalised for the role.

Just when we thought that the casting of the film, also starring Amitabh Bachchan and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, had finally fallen in place, it seems that it is far from the truth.

According to a report by a popular website, the film is not a solo heroine project and will also star Katrina Kaif in the lead.

The last time Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif had come together on the big screen was also for Vijay Krishna Acharya in ‘Dhoom 3’, which was a big hit at the box office and the trio would be hoping to go one step further and give a bigger hit this time.

‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is set to release during Diwali of 2018.
