After the highly talked about Messenger of God series, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is ready to entertain again with his next, 'Online Gurukul'. The film has been directed by Kittu Saluja who last directed the Rahul Bose starrer Chain Kuli Ki Main Kuli. Close sources also say that 'Online Gurukul' maybe loosely based on Shah Rukh Khan’s 'FAN'.
When contacted, Kittu confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I am doing my next film with Baba Ram Rahim. It’s called 'Online Gurukul' and tells the story of a teacher and his follower and Baba will be playing both characters. The story too has been written by him and playing a double role again was his idea. The teacher’s follower is not a Baba look-alike, but a younger version of him.” A large chunk of the film was shot over the last four months in Sirsa, Punjab where the Dera Sacha Sauda is located. Kittu adds, “The film has heavy VFX content, so we have roped in Madhu Sudan who has done VFX for Lord Of The Rings and Spiderman series. Ganesh Acharya has done the choreography and Abbas ali Moghul has designed the action.”
The film also stars Ram Rahim’s sister Anupreet who plays a crucial role in it. Currently the makers are aiming for a release next year. “The VFX will take a year to be complete. I am also in talks with Baba to direct Warrior and MSG 3,” Kittu concludes.
