Nawazuddin Siddiqui's film Miyan Kal Aana' as a producer stars actor Jai Hind Kumar

Mumbai: Nawazuddin Siddiqui turns film producer with his home production film ‘Miyan Kal Aana’.

The film, directed by Nawazuddin’s brother Shamas Siddiqui, touches upon the Halala law in Islam.

The debut producer Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who himself is an encyclopaedia of acting, could have easily essayed the lead in this film, but he opted for the other route.

Nawazuddin, instead chose budding actor Jai Hind Kumar, to play the lead in his film.

The film follows the journey of a man named Imtiaz, who divorced his wife in a fit of rage, only to regret the decision. He wants to rectify his mistake, but can’t get his wife back until she gets married to someone else. Her next husband won’t divorce her until he consummates the marriage.

Actor Nawazuddin, in his statement had earlier stated, “Our idea is to highlight the problem which still exists in today’s society. It’s a proud moment as a brother to see Shamas taking such a bold step of a burning issue like this. It’s a daring step.”

Jai Hind Kumar’s upcoming films are ‘Baaraat Company’, ‘Rukh’, 'H2S04' and ‘Shankar’s Fairies’, where he’ll be seen in the lead role.

‘Miyan Kal Aana’ has been travelling to many international film festivals.
