Shiddat to go on floors after Sridevi's rituals completed, Madhuri Dixit to step in?

After Shuddhhi', it appears that Karan Johar's Shiddat' has become jinxed.

Mumbai: After ‘Shuddhhi’, it appears that Karan Johar’s ‘Shiddat’ has become jinxed. The movie was expected to go on floors after a long delay, but then a cast member, Sridevi’s sudden demise, once again left the project in a dilemma.

Karan, who had reportedly approached Sridevi for the movie along with casting Janhvi in ‘Dhadak’, has now reportedly put the project on hold.

"There are a lot of speculative stories during the rounds about the star cast of Abhishek Verman's Shiddat but let us clarify, no one has been approached for the film yet. Karan is very sensitive about the Kapoor family and till all the post-death rituals of Sridevi are not completed, he wouldn't start anything. Also, Karan is not in the country so till he isn't back, nobody would be approached," a source close to Dharma informed Pinkvilla.

However, a report on BollywoodLife suggests that ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl Madhuri Dixit is likely to replace the late ‘Hawa Hawaii’ girl Sridevi. In fact it is also being reported that since Madhuri is a close friend of Karan Johar, she feels it will be an apt way to pay tribute to Sridevi, if she becomes a part of this project.

‘Shiddat’, directed by Abhishek Varman, would reportedly star Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur in a love triangle.
