Rani takes a jibe at actors? Says people who don't know acting talk of pay parity
Mumbai: Rani Mukerji might be married to Yash Raj Films (YRF)’s head honcho Aditya Chopra, but the actress says that money never matter to her.
"That's not what drove me to work. I worked to be happy. My parents took care of my finances," the actor ended up telling Mid-Day.
Pay disparity has been a trending topic in Bollywood since a long time, and it has come back in limelight after ‘Padmaavat', where Deepika Padukone was paid much more than both the lead actors Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
"Nowadays, a lot of people who don't know how to act are also talking of pay parity. It's important to hone your skills and become good at what you do, money will follow. Actors make money from endorsements or cutting ribbons. Money can come from anywhere," added Mukerji.
It is a wonder whom Rani really took a jibe at when saying that those who don’t know acting are talking about pay parity. Makes you’ll wonder too, no?
