Mumbai: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi’s mother Maherah Hashmi left for her heavenly abode this afternoon. She was admitted in the popular suburban Hinduja hospital and was suffering from cancer. Maherah Hashmi was the sister-in-law of famous director Mahesh Bhatt and producer Mukesh Bhatt.
Emraan Hashmi, who is currently busy shooting out of town left for Mumbai as soon as he heard the news. His mother Maherah was staying at Palli Hill opposite to Sanjay Dutt’s bungalow. Mukesh Bhatt confirming the news said that Maherah succumbed to cancer on the Friday afternoon after fighting with the ailment for a long time. He also offered his condolences to Emraan and his family.
