While sex comedies in Bollywood are yet to get the right kind of push, a hint of that was seen when Delhi Belly was released. Quite the game changer, the movie was appreciated for its witty humour.
And ever since the movie released in 2011, rumours of a sequel have been coming up on and off. A source close to the project finally reveals that a sequel is indeed in the works, and Vir Das is co-writing it. “Delhi Belly 2 was always on the cards, but the makers wanted to be extremely sure that the sequel had the right content. So now, the work will start in the summer and an announcement will be made soon,” the source says.
Vir was also a part of the cast of the original bold, youth-centric movie. Delhi Belly was directed by Abhinay Deo and featured Imraan Khan and Kunal Roy Kapur in lead roles.
