'Don't watch Mona Darling': Mahesh Bhatt urges audiences without watching film
Mumbai: In the film industry, we often see celebrities backing each other’s films when they praise the trailers, pictures and other videos that are shared on social media. However, rarely do we see a celebrity urging audiences not to watch a film. It’s none other than Mahesh Bhatt who has done that.
The veteran director has asked audiences not to watch the upcoming thriller ‘Mona Darling’ and that too without watching the film.
However, it is not the first time he has dissuaded audiences from watching a film. Previously, he had done it for his own film ‘Sadak’ starring Sanjay Dutt and daughter Pooja, saying, “don't watch my film Sadak if you don't have the stomach for it".
‘Mona Darling’ stars critically acclaimed actors like Sanjay Suri and ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’ and ‘Yeh Hai Bakrapur’ fame Anshuman Jha and is being released by Vashu Bhagnani.
Jha, however, is not miffed with the veteran director for his views. He says, “I am shocked and happy. Shocked because he said don't watch Mona Darling and happy because he compared us with Sadak. I would love to show him our film."
Let’s hope that Bhatt meant it the same way as he did with ‘Sadak’.
