Bollywood mourns death of Siachen braveheart Lance Naik Hanamanthappa
As news of the death of Siachen braveheart Lance Naik Hanamanthappa broke, Bollywood celebrities like Farhan Akhtar, Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Rishi Kapoor, and more joined the nation grieve for the fallen soldier.
Lance who was trapped for six days at the Siachen Glacier under several feet of snow before being rescued on Monday night — lost his battle for life and passed away at about 11.45 am on Thursday. The soldier had slipped into deep coma despite 'maximal life support with aggressive ventilation and dialysis'. He died of multi-organ failure, at age 33.
