The next 16 months will virtually be an Akshay Kumar Film Festival, with six of his films releasing. Interestingly, the actor has put five of the six films up for release on festival days.
While the multi starrer Housefull 4 will arrive on Diwali this year, his Kareena Kapoor co-starring film Good News will arrive during the New Year week. Akshay Kumar is slated to drop the Laxmmi Bomb on Eid 2020, and Prithviraj will follow that on Diwali 2020. Bachchan Pandey will then arrive in Christmas 2020
Sooryavanshi is the only non-festival release, which will arrive on March 27, 2020, two weeks after Holi. This year, Akshay had released Kesari on Holi.
“Akshay Kumar does not have any film arriving on Republic Day or on Independence Day. But with him taking on multiple projects at a time, do not be surprised if he announces a film on I-Day 2020,” says a trade source.
If Rajendra Kumar was Jubilee Kumar, Akshay Kumar surely can be billed as Festival Kumar now.
