Norah Fatehi Remuneration For Item Song in Varun Tej's Matka

Even though, B-town siren like Norah Fatehi generates big hype for a film, she is seldom paid fancy remuneration in Telugu movies. The actress who swayed audiences off their feet with her sensuous Bollywood numbers like ‘Dilbar’, ‘Kamariya’ and ‘O Saki Saki’ is returning to Tollywood with a special role opposite Varun Tej in ‘Matka’. "She will be doing a racy number and she would be paid Rs 25 lakhs plus accommodation and travelling expenses for two to three days work,” says a source and adds, “Norah’s dancing prowess will be on test again and she is going to mesmerize audience with her intricate dancing steps,” he adds.

He claims that instead of doling out Rs 1 crore plus for top actresses like Tammanah, Pooja Hegde and Shruti Haasan to appear in dance numbers, Telugu filmmakers are roping in B-town girls to cut cost and gain mileage. “Producers generally have limited budgets for item numbers so they would like to have model-turned-actresses from Bollywood over a top-rung heroine. While films like ‘Jailer’ have big budgets, they can afford an actress Tammanah for ‘Kaavaala’ song,” he points out.

Norah has done item numbers in Telugu films like ‘Kick 2’ and ‘Loafer’ in the past and now she is returning to enthrall her Telugu fans with her jhatkas and matkas once again.
