Saif Ali Khan’s career seems to have come to a standstill. All his recent films have tanked. And the one big film on hand, namely Raja Krishna Menon’s Chef, has been postponed indefinitely. The release was scheduled for July 14 and has now been put on hold.
The official reason cited for the postponement is multiple film releases.
Says director Menon, “July 14 became over-crowded. There are too many releases in the first two weeks of July. We’re looking into a new release date.The producers feel we should get some passage to ensure a proper release. Nowadays, we have to consider the Hollywood releases also while seeking an appropriate release date. I think there is too much time, effort and passion involved in the making of a film to be adamant about its pre-decided release date.” There has been no announcement of a new release date for Chef.
