Tiger Shroff is very humble person: SOTY 2 actor hairstylist Amit Yashwant
Mumbai: Tiger Shroff has always been considered as one of the stylish actors in Bollywood. His hairstyle is one of the major highlights of the actor's sex appeal. However, the person behind making his hairstyle popular among the masses is none other than, Amit Yashwant. The Hairstylist always makes Tiger look good on-screen with his art of styling hairs. Recently, Amit shared his experience of working with Tiger Shroff. Excerpts
Tell us about your first collaboration with Tiger Shroff?
I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to work with Tiger. The first project I got associated with him was Baaghi and since then, there was no looking back. Our association and bond have become strong in the coming years.
How did you go from a starter to a celebrity hairstylist?
I was never inclined towards studies. As soon as my 10th grade got over, I started working in a local salon as a barber in my hometown, Ratnagiri. I managed to make some money and did a hairstylist course from London. Later, I started working as a hairstylist in Drama Salon in Ghatkopar and over there through a reference, I got my first celebrity. I did hairstylist for Kunal Kemmu in Blood Money.

So, how challenging was the responsibility?
It is a very big responsibility on set. The continuity aspect needs to be taken care of. Any small mistake can be seen on the big screen. So, we as hairstylist have to be very alert and careful.
Any suggestions you got from Tiger Shroff?
Not really. Tiger is the most humble person and he truly believes in people he works with. He trusts me and each time, I do his hair, he totally leaves the job on to me. I'm lucky to have him.
What's the best thing you like about Tiger?
He is extremely humble and down to earth person. He takes care of his team and that quality of him is very overwhelming.
How does it feel reuniting with Tiger?
That's an amazing feeling. I think he trusts me and my work. And that's why I'm doing projects with him again and again.

How difficult is it to match the requirement of the role with the celebrity's personal choice?
It is very difficult because we have to set the look according to the character and the whole feel that is totally the director's call.
Who is your favourite celebrity to work with and why?
Undoubtedly, it's Tiger Shroff.
How challenging is the role of a film stylist compared to a personal stylist?
It is not that challenging for a personal stylist because as a person we have to focus on only one individual. But for film stylist, it gets very challenging because we have to focus on other casts, then secondary actors and the director's brief.
