Hit pair of Mani Ratnam and Aditi Rao Hydari to team up again for a romance drama!

Mumbai: After wooing the film critics and audience with their first outing together, director-actor duo of Rani Ratnam and Aditi Rao Hydari are all charged up for a second innings, and, just like their last film ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’, this one is going to be all about romance.

A well-known tabloid has reported that both Aditi and Ratnam will work together in a yet untitled film, which revolves around romance, and preparations for the same are underway. Aditi, who is visibly in awe of her six-time National Award winning director, has said ‘yes’ to this new project.

When asked about this latest development, an elated Aditi exclaimed, “I am dying to work with Mani sir again!” The actress was all praise for the director, working with whom has been a childhood dream for her. “His sets are as beautiful as he is and there is a lot of last-minute improvisation. When I told him I didn’t know the language, he smiled and assured me that this was his problem not mine. He taught me the lines in Tamil too,” she reminisces, pointing out that she could write a book on the genius filmmaker and his storytelling techniques. “He will see a cliff and suddenly decide to film there. He’ll push you, nudge you, until you think you’re going to die, but eventually you know that he will be there to catch you… Many tell me that doing a Mani Ratnam film is a good career move. For me, it’s been a life changing move, the fulfilment of a childhood dream,” Aditi said.

Aditi will start shooting for this film right after wrapping up Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama ‘Padmavati’ where she plays the role of Alauddin Khilji’s (played by Ranveer Singh) wife Kamala Devi.
