Exclusive: Sadak 2 to be inspired from Kamal Haasan's Mahanadi?

A source close to the film reveals, “Sadak 2 will be on the lines of Mahanadi which released in the early 90s."
The buzz about Sadak 2 has been around for a long time now. There have been reports that Sanjay Dutt will play Alia Bhatt’s father in the sequel. Now we also hear that the film is inspired by Kamal Haasan’s movie Mahanadi.
A source close to the film reveals, “Sadak 2 will be on the lines of Mahanadi which released in the early 90s. Sadak 2 will have a fresh take on it though, and the story will be set in contemporary times.” Also, Begum Jaan director Shrijit Mukherji could reportedly come on board to direct Sadak 2.
