Batti Gul for Shraddha and Shahid literally, actor to wrap movie before schedule
Mumbai: Shahid and Shraddha Kapoor are currently shooting for ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ and it looks like this has applied for them in real life too since their movie shooting was stopped because of power failure.
A source from the crew tells Mid-Day, "The shooting had to be stopped mid-scene when a power cut happened. The power outage lasted for more than 12 hours. Even though the makers arranged for generators, we could resume the shoot only by early evening."
"Both Shahid and Shraddha found out about the hydel projects that are pending approvals from the ministry of Water Resources. The locals told them that they face power cuts regularly, some as long as 10-12 hours. These inputs helped them make a few improvisations to the story," adds the source.
However, there’s good news with the movie. It appears that ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ will wrap up before schedule, especially since Shahid Kapoor is giving clean shots every day, and thus the rare happens, i.e. the cast and crew reaches home on time.
Says a source to DNA, “Despite it being set in small town, the team is packing up early everyday because Shahid comes and gives clean shots.”
“The speed at which Shree and Shahid are working, the film is expected to be wrapped up by March-end or first week of April, at the maximum,” the source adds.
