After Varun Dhawan, now Kartik Aryan recovering post injury
Mumbai: Kartik Aryan, who has garnered an impressive fan following after the success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, has all eyes glued to his next release Lukka Chuppi, which opens in a few days.
While shooting a song-and-dance for the film, Kartik suffered a leg injury.
“Nothing major,” Kartik reassures his fans. “It is just a hamstring pull that happened during the shooting. Now, it’s fine. An actor has to take a certain amount of risk otherwise there is no excitement either for the actor or the audience,” he adds.
This is the second leg injury to have happened to a Bollywood actor in recent times. Earlier this week, Varun Dhawan sprained his ankle while doing a song for Remo D’souza in Street Dancer 3D.
“Earlier actors would injure themselves while doing action and stunts. Now, they’re getting themselves hurt while shooting song-and-dance sequences. The steps given by choreographers is no less than action scenes,” says Varun Dhawan’s father David Dhawan, who will soon direct his son in an action-comedy.
“I will make sure Varun has exciting but safe dance steps. Whether it’s Varun or Kartik, these are busy actors. They can’t afford to lose weeks of their time nursing an injury that can easily be avoided,” adds David.
