I want to work like an ass: Sunny Leone
With many projects in her kitty, Sunny Leone is shining bright. “I had come to India for just two weeks and was contemplating to go back home when I got an offer. It changed my life. The biggest thing that has happened to me is getting an offer from Shahrukh Khan,” says Leone.
The other good thing that has happened to her is gaining the love of her innumerable fans. “Undoubtedly, there are those who talk about my past. But it is people’s love that has enabled me to belong in the B’Town,” says Leone.
However, she has some pet peeves about the industry too. “People come late on the sets. I am either on time, five minutes early or at the most five minutes late. There are those who keep people waiting for an hour. It makes me question what makes their time better than your time?” says Leone. Being here has made her learn that, “While I do not understand the business of Bollywood, I am trying to adapt to its norms and ways — as they will not adjust to mine. I have loved Hindi films and being here is like a dream come true.” Adding further she says, “I am shy by nature. Even during a party, I love to be in the corner but I am trying to be more social now.”
So does she agree that she is Ekta Kapoor’s blue-eyed girl? “I am happy that she has given me a chance to do so many films. I respect her for being so passionate and hardworking. She inspires me to work hard. I want to work like an ass (donkey). It makes me feel happy and charged. Next morning, I turn more passionate about work and life,” she concludes.
