If you’re a director, producer or a journalist, chances are that you’ve interacted with Kangana’s sister Rangoli more than the actress herself. A feisty young woman, Rangoli was Kangana’s manager and unofficial spokesperson — until a few days ago. Thanks to a massive fallout between the two, Kangana has now terminated her sister’s services.
Sources close to the actress suggest that it was Rangoli’s over enthusiasm that led to the decision. Says a close associate of the actress, “Rangoli was known to be dominating. She used to oversee all of Kangana’s decisions. Be it brand endorsements, acting workshops, scheduling shoots or even choosing a film, Rangoli approved it all — sometimes even after protests from Kangana. She was the one who filtered statements, even during her very public spat with Hrithik. A few days ago however, the two sisters had a showdown and Kangana terminated their official association. Rangoli, who is usually part of Kangana’s entourage, hasn’t visited her house since she quit.”
Kangana has now sought assistance of her PR agency to fill in for her manager’s position too. Until recently, the agency only handled her public relations, but will now take over the reigns of her managerial work as well.
