Anil Kapoor to appear in Salman Khan's Race 3?
Mumbai: After the immense popularity of first two instalments of Race franchise, producer Ramesh Taurani promises to take it a notch higher with third part in the series, Race 3.
After roping in Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles, the producer replaced Abbas-Mustan with Remo D'Souza as the director for the upcoming film. And now buzz has it that Anil Kapoor, who has played the role of a private detective named Robert D’Costa, will reprise his character in the Salman Khan starrer. If Anil Kapoor officially signs the film, he will be the only actor to have starred in all three installments of the franchise.
A source was quoted as telling DNA, "Anil had played Robert D'Costa aka RD, a private detective, who acts stupid but is very sharp, resourceful and quick. Anil's character was liked immensely by the audience. The first movie had Sameera Reddy playing his assistant, while the second film saw Ameesha Patel in the role."
Salman and Anil have worked together in Biwi No.1, No Entry, Yuvvraj and Salaam-e-Ishq. Anil did a cameo appearance in Salman’s film Wanted as he performed a dance.
"If Anil comes on board, he will be the only cast member to be a part of all three films of the Race series. Also, this will be the actor's first film with choreographer-turned-director Remo," added the source.
The Remo D'Souza directorial will star Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, Daisy Shah, Freddy Daruwala and will release on Eid 2018.
