We had earlier told you how Sajid Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala were coming together for Housefull 4, the film’s fourth franchise. Back then, the two were tight-lipped about the film’s casting, although whispers were loud that Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh from the original cast were going to be retained.

Those plans however, have been put on the backburner, thanks to Sajid’s (Khan) other pet project. Sajid’s next film is an adaptation of a comedy novel, The Three Wise Monkeys by Jeet Gian. Speculations were rife since the time Sajid launched the book with sister Farah Khan recently, and also praised it on social media. Turns out, they were true too.

When contacted, the filmmaker said, “Yes, I am adapting the book into my next film. I think it’s a funniest situation comedy/fiction book. It has humour and characters that reminded me of Housefull. Jeet is one of the masters of comedy in Indian literature.”
