Learning from her grandkids

Supriya Pathak shares with us traits of her grandkids, Misha and Zain, which she's inculcating in her life too

Actress Supriya Pathak will be soon seen in SonyLIV’s new show Tabbar, a family thriller directed by Ajit Pal Singh and written by Harman Wadala.
Amidst speaking about the show Tabbar, which means family, Supriya shares the close-knit bond she enjoys with her real family, comprising her husband Pankaj Kapur, two children Sanah and Ruhaan, and her stepson Shahid Kapoor, his wife Mira Rajput and their children, 5-year-old Misha and 2-year-old Zain.

“I’m blessed to have very understanding and noble children,” she says. “They believe in the philosophy that we’re all family, and build a great connection with whomever they meet.”

And which of her grandkids, Misha and Zain, is her favourite?
“Both Misha and Zain are my favourites,” she replies. “They’re both such bright and independent children who don’t depend on anyone, whose prime qualities are tolerance and patience. They’ll listen to everything obediently without throwing tantrums. And I’m constantly learning from them; for instance, I realise we get unnecessarily stressed over unimportant things. For example, Misha loves the dish rajma chawal. But if it contains chopped onions, she dislikes it; even so, if you tell her you’ll avoid onions the next time she’ll accept your word for it. I’ve started inculcating this attitude in my life too.”
