Evelyn Sharma's secret

This is India's first ever platform from the film and fashion industry to get involved in social causes throughout the year.

When the gorgeous Evelyn Sharma came to India to discover her Punjabi roots, she was instantly recognised by the film industry and got to sign five big films in her first year itself — and then started her journey. She mentioned how thrilled she was to be a part of Jab Harry Met Sejal with Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. She says she never expected to become an actress in Bollywood.

What’s surprising about Evelyn? As much as the universe has given her, she wants to give ten folds back. Yes, she has started an amazing project called ‘Seams for Dreams’.

Evelyn is a supporter of charitable causes and she is working to raise awareness about appropriate housing and sanitation. During the Nepal earthquake, Evelyn and her friends collected clothes, which were worn once or twice, and extended their help to the homeless people. And that’s how Seams for Dreams started — this is an initiative that portrays the love for fashion to give back to humanity.

With every piece of clothing you get to donate, a person’s life changes by two fold. This is India’s first ever platform from the film and fashion industry to get involved in social causes throughout the year.

What’s taking the rounds now is her beauty blog called ‘Evelyn’s Secrets’. When I asked her why she started this blog, she said she started her love affair with writing when she began travelling the world as a model — and feeling and looking good became her obsession. She says that beauty comes from inside and she would like to pass all her secrets through her blog.

She also said working with Shahrukh in JHMS was super fun. SRK is apparently very considerate about the ladies in his films getting their full beauty sleep. When I asked her how much she loves the south, she said she always considers south India as the most loving and beautiful place. She loves south Indian films and would love to work here.

Well we would love to see you soon in the south and with such a beautiful heart, the sky is the limit for you!
