Shraddha, Siddhanth roped in to play Dawood-sister duo in Haseena biopic
Mumbai: It was recently announced that Shraddha Kapoor has replaced Sonakshi Sinha in Apoorva Lakhia’s ‘Hasina’, the proposed biopic on the life of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar. Now in an interesting turn of events, it has surfaced that Shraddha's brother Siddhanth, who was last seen in 'Jazbaa', will essay the role of notorious gangster Dawood.
Shakti Kapoor has confirmed that his children have been roped in for the film. Present at the trailer launch of his film 'Dil Sala Sanki', the actor said, “Both of them will star in ‘Haseena’, where the (real life) brother and sister will actually play brother and sister on-screen. Shraddha will play Haseena Parkar while Dawood’s role will be done by Siddhanth.”
It is said that Sonakshi Sinha was earlier finalised to play Haseena but the actress apparently walked out due to date issues. The film will be helmed by “Shootout at Lokhandwala” fame Apoorva Lakhia.
Meanwhile, Shraddha who is gearing up for the release of 'Rock On 2!!', is currently shooting 'Ok Jaanu' with Aditya Roy Kapur. The actress recently announced her next film 'Half Girlfriend' opposite Arjun Kapoor.
