Ritu Shivpuri wins best debut actor Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her performance in 24

The actress, much popular for her performance in such movies as 'Aankhen' and 'Lajja,' is elated.

Mumbai: Ritu Shivpuri, who debuted on television with Anil Kapoor's 24, has won the esteemed best actor debut Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
The actress, understandably, is elated.
Ritu marked her Bollywood debut in ‘Aankhein’ alongside Govinda in 1993. The beautiful actress did noted films like ‘Lajja’ and ‘Elaan,’ to name a few.
Ritu is now all set to play a pivotal role as an antogonist in Star Plus's ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’.
