Sanjay Gupta fails to clear dues of Jazbaa crew
Mumbai: 'Jazbaa' marked Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's resurgence as a Bollywood actress and managed to do an average collection of 32 crores at the Box Office.
However, according to a report in Mid-Day, writer Kamlesh Pandey, screenplay writer Robin Bhatt, choreographer Ahmad Khan, director of photography Sameer Arya and a few others have not received full payment for working on the film, which hit the theatres on October 9 last year.
The report further states that the amount due is more than Rs 20 lakh. When they had reached out to the director, Sanjay had assured that dues will be cleared once he receives the payment from Essel Vision, which produced the film.
On the other hand, Essel Vision has made it clear that the payments have already been done to Sanjay’s company, White Feather Films. Apparently, Sanjay was supposed to enter into an agreement with all actors, writers and other technicians and make the payments from the production cost provided.
