With the film industry at a standstill due to the coronavirus outbreak, Bollywood stars have been taking the time to brush up on their culinary skills at home. While Alia Bhatt baked a grain-free paleo banana bread with sister Shaheen Bhatt, Deepika Padukone has been indulging in cooking full meals for herself and husband Ranveer Singh. In fact, the Padmavaat actress has been experimenting with ice cream too. Proud of his wife’s cooking, Ranveer Singh posted the full update of the three-course Thai meal and cake she made.
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal has been trying to master the art of flipping the perfect omelet. “Make way for the latest entrant in the elite club of #TheOmeletteFlippers! #chotikhushiyaan,” the Uri actor captioned his video.
Another Punjabi boy Diljit Dosanjh has been cooking more complex and homely food, and also providing his followers with tutorials for dishes like rajma chawal and aloo gobi.
Not far behind is Arjun Kapoor, who recently put up a picture of his attempt at baking with a special surprise: His dog Maximus. The actor called himself a fake baker since it was his first attempt. “I’m sure Maximus the real Gunda sang this song in his head cause it’s the first time he’s seen me the Fake Baker attempt anything in the kitchen !!! PS — (his hips really don’t lie) (sic),” he captioned the picture.
Even his girlfriend Malaika Arora has been sharing her love for healthy food on social media via cooking videos. While she made paniyaram a few days ago, her recent video was captioned, “I love to cook! I love cooking for my family and friends but with my busy schedule, I hardly get time to pursue this passion of mine. But with this self-isolation upon us, I thought of utilising this time in a constructive and healthy way by cooking some sumptuous and delicious ‘Malabari veg stew for the soul’.”
Rajkummar Rao too showed off his cooking skills on social media. In one of the Instagram stories, Rao and filmmaker Viveck Daaschaudhary were seen chopping vegetables wearing sunglasses.
