When Kalank came to me, I said this song deserves Saroj Khan: Madhuri Dixit

One of the most well-known choreographer of Bollywood lashed out at the industry for not giving her offers anymore. Saroj Khan, who started her career in 1974, has worked with Madhuri on some of the most iconic dance numbers like Ek Do Teen, Mera Piya Ghar Aaya, Chane Ke Khet Mai, Dhak Dhak and many more.

Their association goes back a long way. So when Madhuri heard Saroj’s complaint, she came to her support.

Madhuri says, “She is a very talented woman and if she is saying it, then it’s really sad. It’s a pity and it is industry’s loss.”

However, on Madhuri’s request, Saroj has choreographed a special song for her in Kalank.

“When Kalank came to me, I said this song deserves Saroj Khan. She is the one who can make this song look beautiful and do justice to it. So she and Remo (D’Souza) came together for this song and it’s a great combination of both of them. So I wish her all the best and this is just a phase,” she added.

Having worked with Saroj for a long time, Madhuri feels her relationship with the choreographer has grown stronger. She says, “My association with Sarojji has only become stronger over the years. I have worked with her for so many years, she is supremely talented.”

While the fans wait for the dance sequence, only time will tell what kind of magic the duo has created for the film.
