The Congress Party announced its poll campaign centered around justice — Ab Hoga Nyay — and the theme song has been penned by film writer-poet Javed Akhtar.
But a source close to him clearly said, "He was approached to write a song for the Congress for the elections. He agreed on a professional basis and wrote the song Main Hi Toh Hindustan Hoon. This collaboration must not be seen as a manifestation of Javed saab’s political loyalty."
Interestingly, many prominent and powerful voices in the Hindi film industry do not desire to be publicly associated with any of the political parties participating in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
A formidable writer from the industry says, "There is no enthusiasm, no josh this time. The party in power may win for the lack of a solid Opposition. But those Bollywood bigwigs who do not support the ruling party would not like to show their support for the Congress either."
But it doesn’t mean the poet-thinker owes any allegiance to the Congress Party
