Ekta Kapoor gives Kushal Tandon fitting response after he mocks her show Naagin

It all started with Anita Hassanandani Reddy's tweet taking a dig at debacles 'Jagga Jasoos' and 'Jab Harry Met Sejal.'

Mumbai: Anita Haasanandani Reddy would not have imagined that her tweet about her journey on a flight would lead to an interesting turn of events.

The actress took a light-hearted dig at two debacles of last year, Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif’s ‘Jagga Jasoos’ and Shah Rukh Khan-Anushka Sharma’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, how she deserved a pat on her back for watching the two films back-to-back without Disprin on the flight.

Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Kushal Tandon took the opportunity to take a dig at Anita’s show ‘Naagin 3’, for which she has recently been cast, by saying he wondered what would she give the viewers of the TV show in that case.

The producer of the show, Ekta Kapoor stepped into the conversation and hit back at Kushal by saying how she deserved a pat on her back for watching a particular scene he shot for her.

She later had an interesting reply to another of his tweets.

All of this was in good humour as Ekta said he was looking awesome in their collaboration, a web series ‘Kapoors’, while he expressed how lucky he was to be a part of her ‘creative world’, and that he will learn acting in her guidance.

Meanwhile on the film front, Ekta is joining hands with ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ director Alankrita Shrivastava for her next, again a female-centric project.

Ekta said, "Alankrita's style of filmmaking is bold, entertaining and asks all the right questions to our society. I’m only too glad we’re reuniting to tell some more path-breaking and hugely entertaining stories together. The Lipstick rebellion thus continues!"

Alankrita said, "I'm really excited about collaborating with Ekta Kapoor and Balaji for my next film. I think it needs courage and a certain risk-taking ability to back films like the ones I want to make. And I'm so glad to have found a brave producer and presenter in Ekta. The future is female, and I think more women collaborating is the change that we need to see. Not just in India, but the world over. "

The film had famously emerged victorious from the shackles of the censor board, going on to get critically acclaimed and become a box office hit, and we hope this collaboration can repeat this success.
