Did Alia Bhatt just confirm she will star in Sridevi's Chaalbaaz remake?
Director David Dhawan is all set to pen and direct the remake of Sridevi’s super duper hit film Chaalbaaz. After the stupendous success of Judwa 2 — a remake of Salman’s hit film Judwa starring his son Varun Dhawan, looks like David Dhawan wants to encash on remakes.
Sources confirm, “David has not only decided to remake this film, but he has also got his modern-day Sridevi in place.” And it is none other than the chirpy, talented and hardworking Alia Bhatt.
In fact, Alia had recently told the media, “When I asked David sir to cast me in his next flick, Judwa 3, he told me ‘I have a better role for you in mind’. When I asked him again after a little while, he smiled and said, ‘You do not have to work in Judwa 3 with me, but you will be working in the remake of Chaalbaaz with me’.”
Interestingly, while promoting her film Mom, Sridevi had said that if Chaalbaaz is ever remade, one actress who would fit the bill perfectly would be Alia Bhatt.
Undeniably, Alia is best suited for this role and should feel happy that the role has deservingly come to her. Still, we need to wait and watch to see if this modern day Chaalbaaz will be Alia or someone else.
