Vivek Oberoi to produce Marathi web series based on real life stories
After films and television ruled the entertainment industry, the digital medium has also gradually been gaining prominence. While several short films and web series have released over the past few months over the medium, some prominent production houses have also entered the medium. And it seems Vivek Oberoi has also been bitten by the bug.
The actor, who was travelling in the remote areas of Maharashtra while researching for his charitable foundation’s housing initiative Karrm Infrastructure, got interacting with the locals and came across several inspirational stories from them. Vivek got so motivated with the stories that he has now decided to make a web series based on them.
A source says, “The web series which Vivek wants to make features nine episodes with nine different real stories which cater to the common man and the subjects vary from person to person, showcasing their inspiring journeys to fulfill their dreams."
Previously, there were reports of Vivek turning a producer in films with the Ram Gopal Varma directorial ‘Company 2’ and it seems that this particular web series could well turn out to be his debut project.
