Mumbai: Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar had scripted numerous blockbusters like ‘Sholay’, ‘Deewaar’, ‘Don’ among others for a period of 15 years. However, the duo fell out reportedly over an incident involving their last film together ‘Mr. India’. Both the writers got agitated with Amitabh Bachchan after he refused to do ‘Mr. India’ and Akhtar reportedly decided not to work with Bachchan again. However, some misunderstanding took place between them when Bachchan got to know about their decision at his Holi party and they subsequently broke off their partnership.
But the duo had buried the hatchet few years back and had even spoken about probably collaborating again.
Their sons, Salman Khan and Farhan Akhtar, reportedly have not been the best of friends over the years. Farhan had even stated that he was eager to work with Salman and had even approached him for two films but things didn’t work out. It was reported that the strained relationship between their fathers was behind Salman’s decision.
However, Farhan recently made an appearance on Salman Khan’s reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ to promote ‘Rock On 2’ along with the cast of the film and the duo were seen having an enjoyable time on the show. This bonding definitely seems to show that the two stars have patched up.
Is there now a possibility of a collaboration between the two?...
