It's official! Big B joins Ranbir and Alia in Ayan Mukherji's superhero film

Mumbai: While there have been speculation aplenty about Ayan Mukherji’s highly anticipated superhero flick starring Ranbir Kapoor, much hasn’t been made known to the fans. Karan Johar had recently confirmed that the film is yet to be christened, though it had been tentatively titled ‘Dragon,’ probably alluding to Ranbir Kapoor, the film’s lead actor, rumoured to be possessing abilities with fire.

Apart from Ranbir, Alia Bhatt had been the only confirmed star of the film.
However, on Saturday, the trio of Karan Johar, Ranbir and Alia spoke about the film at length during the ‘The Big Talk’ segment of MAMI’s Movie Mela 2017 in Mumbai. During the conversation, Karan Johar also confirmed that Amitabh Bachchan had also been roped in to play pivotal role in the film. Ayan is reportedly looking at a trilogy with superhero flicks making immense moolah across the world.

Speaking on the film, Ranbir said, “I am extremely excited! Ayan is trying something beyond his years. I think Alia and me are soldiers in this dream of his. He is so hard working. He has a vision. The kind of imagination. The dream that he is trying to put up. It cannot be possible without your backing. The kind of cushioning. The pillow you are surrounding him with!”

“For me to work with Alia is very exciting. The first time I met Alia was when she was very young. When I say young, I mean ten-eleven (Alia quips: I was eleven). You could feel she had an aura, talent, success, good looks, it all comes with the territory. You have to have all of that! But she had an aura about herself. You wanted to see her. You wanted to talk to her. You just kind of wanted to be around her! So, I am excited. I think she will add to my understanding of acting and this process will be a lot of fun,” Ranbir said, speaking on his first collaboration with Alia.

While Ranbir was last seen in ‘Jagga Jasoos,’ Alia appeared in the very successful ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania,’ alongside Varun Dhawan.
