Priyanka Chopra exited Salman Khan's ‘Bharat’ after she reportedly got engaged to rumoured boyfriend, Nick Jonas. A few days after walking out of the film, it was announced that she will star opposite Chris Pratt in 'Cowboy Ninja Viking'. And now the news comes that PeeCee's next big Hollywood flick will not be releasing next summer.
Universal Pictures delayed the film, saying that it remains in active development and will be dated down the line "to accommodate production scheduling." The movie was slated to slated to open on June 28, 2019, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.
Directed by Michelle MacLaren, the film will see the 'Quantico' star as Pratt's love interest.
Based on a graphic novel by A.J. Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo, the movie will revolve around a counter-intelligence unit which is formed by a psychotherapist, Dr Sebastian Ghislain. The flick will see Ghislain transform agents known as Triplets, a reference to multiple personalities.
Pratt will essay the role of a formidable agent, who possesses the fighting skills and personalities of a cowboy.
The 'Baywatch' star recently walked out of Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Bharat' at the very last moment. The news of her engagement with American singer/actor Nick Jonas has also been doing rounds of late. Katrina Kaif has now replaced Chopra in Salman Khan's upcoming Eid release.
Priyanka has started shooting for her next Hindi film 'The Sky Is Pink'. Directed by Shonali Bose, the film also stars Zaira Wasim and Farhan Akhtar. It is slated to release in the first half of 2019.
