From Garam Masala to Desi Boyz and Housefull 2, John Abraham and Akshay Kumar have impressed together on the big screen many times in the past. It is no news that the two share a great rapport with each other, but this camaraderie might soon turn into a professional collaboration if John has his way. John, who has his own production house, wants to make a film with Akshay in the capacity of a producer. In fact, John has already shared the idea with Akshay.
Giving us the details, John says, “I have spoken to Akshay and I told him I would love to work with him as a producer. He agreed and said that we definitely should someday. He is a friend and the idea is to be collaborative. That is something that has been missing from the industry for a long time.”
Talking about how he manages to be secure in his work, John says, “The thing is, it’s not about being secure. There is no dearth of ideas and actors are like beggars. We constantly want good content. If I have good content, I would love to reach out to everybody.”
John also reveals that he plans to produce more movies under his own banner and is currently finalising the scripts. “It’s taking a little time, but rest assured, there will be an announcement soon. We are looking at around five to six ideas, but the beauty is always in the writing.”
However, the actor further says that he is in no hurry to sign anything. “After Force 2, I haven’t signed anything. The reason I haven’t done that is because I haven’t found anything that’s exciting enough. I am in a space where I can take chances.”...
