Not The Ring or Rahnuma but SRK and Anushka starrer film is titled this!

Mumbai: After a lot of speculations, the title of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer film is finally out. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film is called ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’.

Initially, the film was tentatively titled as ‘The Ring’ but the makers wanted something more. Apparently, the makers had two titles, ‘Rahnuma’ and ‘Raula’, in mind for the film. However, they are moving forward with ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’.

The film stars SRK as Harry or Harvinder and Anushka as Sejal. If reports are to be believed, after the success of ‘Raees’, Shah Rukh and his team were keen on having a title with initial ‘R’.

“Rahnuma was their first choice but it was an Urdu title; the other choice Raula was a Punjabi word. They were looking for something in Hindi, so, they are going ahead with Jab Harry Met Sejal,” a source told DNA.

The title seems to be inspired by Meg Ryan and Bill Crystal’s ‘When Harry Met Sally’. The film’s poster will be launched tomorrow with the title. Reportedly, the film’s trailer is ready as well and will be attached to Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’.

The film is set to hit the theatres on August this year.
