Shah Rukh Khan reveals that he named Smriti Irani's stepdaughter

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan, despite being busy in the shoot for Imtiaz Ali's next, always takes out time to remember most of his friends in happiness, sadness and much more.

The 51-year-old actor took to Instagram and made a surprise revelation about Smriti Irani's stepdaughter, Shanelle Irani.

He posted a photo and captioned it, "My childhood friend Zubin's daughter all grown up and so pretty... and just for the record I named her Shanelle."

This response comes after the Union Minister of Textiles shared a photo of her in which we can see Smriti's husband Zubin Irani's daughter Shanelle in a candid pose.

She captioned the photo, "#familyphoto some one is being missed sorely @shanelleirani." (sic)

Smriti went on to comment on the picture saying, "#memories #family #friends Best kept secret out, she continues to make us proud."

The 41-year-old minister joined Instagram just a couple of days back and was warmly welcomed by her friend Ekta Kapoor.
