Kangana Ranaut, who is currently holidaying in London after winning her third National Award, has opted out of Sai Kabir’s Divine Lovers. When the actress was shooting for Revolver Rani with the director, there were reports of them collaborating again on another project.
However, that film didn’t fare well at the box office and Kangana went on to score big hits with Queen and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Director Sai Kabir had announced his next film, Divine Lovers, with Kangana and Irrfan Khan in 2014. But now, Kangana isn’t interested in the project anymore.
When contacted Sai didn’t deny the talks. He said, “Kangana Ranaut is no more a part of my film Divine Lovers. I am launching a new girl opposite the leading man Irrfan Khan. It’s going to be a surprise for everyone.”
When quizzed on why Kangana left the film, Sai evaded the question saying, “The new girl is more suitable for the role. I can’t say anything else.” We tried reaching Kangana for a quote but she didn’t respond to our calls or messages.
