Ranveer Singh to dance to Malhari at IPL opening ceremony
Bollywood star Ranveer Singh took centre stage on Thursday evening, as he began practices for his upcoming IPL performance. Ranveer, who was last seen as Peshwa Bajirao in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’, will be seen grooving to his hit single.
Our cameras caught the star during his first practice session last evening. Going by these pictures, Ranveer and a large group of dancers were practicing a choreographed routine to the victory anthem ‘Malhari’.
Talking about his performance, Ranveer said it would be a tribute to the spirit of cricket. "My act will honour the spirit of cricket and victory. I want to dedicate this performance to all the cricket fans across the world," he said.
Apart from learning the choreography for his IPL performance, Ranveer is also learning the tango and hip-hop dance routine. The actor is learning the western and European dance forms for his next romantic flick ‘Befikre’ that is being directed by Aditya Chopra.
