Varun does not want to burn people's money for the sake of experimentation

The actor has an impressive repartee and is currently one of the most sought after young talents in Bollywood.

Mumbai: Varun Dhawan has time and again proved his mettle as an actor, be it in ‘Badlapur’ as the vengeance-seeking bereaved husband or the adamantly persuasive lover in the first installment of ‘Dulhaniya’ franchise ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya’.

The actor is all about quality work and does not believe in burning a big hole in his producers’ pockets just for the heck of experimenting with different roles.

A Director’s son, Varun knows that when a film fails at the Box Office, the gun of criticism is always pointed towards the male lead and is invariably at the centre of what is called a ‘blame game’.

In an interview with a leading daily, the actor reportedly said, “When a film fails, the lead actor is always blamed for it.” And he also made it clear that he is not here for ‘people’ to lose money because of him. “I don’t want to burn people’s money for the sake of experimenting with roles,” added the actor who will soon be seen in the second installment of 1997 blockbuster ‘Judwaa’.

Varun’s ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’, which is set to release on March 10, will yet again bring out his funnily romantic side. The film’s promotional activities have taken the lead pair to all the major cities in the country, the response to which has been pretty good so far.

So if he is not up for experimentation, does that mean he will only be doing romcoms? We will have to wait for him to sign a new film.
