The makers, Yash Raj Films, have some serious plans for the film, announcing the release date, Christmas 2017, more than a year ago and also replacing the director of the first part, Kabir Khan, with ‘Sultan’ director Ali Abbas Zafar.
A Hollywood stunt director, Tom Struthers, who had worked on films like ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘Inception’ has also been roped in to direct the stunt sequences.

From the looks of it, the locations seem to be similar to the locations of the first part of the film and that perhaps indicates the theme of the film would be on similar lines.
‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ will reportedly clash with Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Sanjay Dutt at the box office.
