Salman Khan is the real hero', says frenemy Govinda

The superstar's frenemy Govinda reveals his love for Salman and his good will Samaritan act.

An actor who is known as the one with the most ‘Being Human’ personality not only in the filmy arena but also the most loved hero of the masses, is none other than Salman Khan.

The superstar’s frenemy Govinda reveals his love for Salman and his good will Samaritan act.

Reminiscing a tale of the 80s, Govinda reveals how he first met Salman Khan. “I remember way back in the eighties I was returning from one of my shootings in Mumbai. It so happened that a man, while crossing the road, had banged into my car as he was entering from the wrong side. No sooner we got down from our vehicle and were planning to take his gentleman to the hospital. One thin and fit guy approaches me and tells me to move ahead as the crowd had started gathering around my vehicle. This gentleman told me not to worry as he would take care of this person who was hurt. And this guy who took charge of this gentleman and immediately took him to the hospital was none other than Salman Khan!,” recollected Govinda.

Govinda added, “This gentleman who had been hurt by my vehicle, after recovering, came to my residence to thank me with his wife. Presumably this person was a Maharashtrian guy. It is then that I told him to thank that thin and fit gentleman who came to our rescue and took (you) to the hospital immediately.”

Govinda’s anxieties knew no bound when he came to know that this gentleman was none other than Salman Khan who was not a hero then but had signed Sooraj Barjatiya’s film. This was Salman’s full fledged film as a hero titled Maine Pyaar Kiya.

All praises for Salman Khan, Govinda in one of our recent interviews says, “Salman has this Being Human quality even before attaining stardom. He is a very nice person. Salman has always tried to help people in distress. I love him and respect him for that. Salman is a real hero. I instantly clicked with him. Since then we became good friends.”
