Mumbai: Unlike few, Nargis Fakhri doesn’t believe in playing with her words and projecting her thoughts differently. She is someone who is never afraid to bare her soul. The ‘Rockstar’ actress is not only sassy but also extremely upfront.
During an interview with a daily, Nargis was asked about her on-off relationship with Uday Chopra to which Nargis repeated herself saying that the two are not dating but she likes the fact that he keeps her in the news.
“I am glad that Uday always keeps me in the news. We often laugh about everything that's written about us. I am repeating myself: Uday and I aren't dating each other. But he will always remain a part of my life. I have very few friends in India and I feel fortunate that he's one of them,” Nargis was quoted by Mid-day.
Earlier rumour mills were abuzz with reports of Nargis having a nervous break down after breaking up with Uday Chopra. It was said that the actress flew off to the US to get away from it all and was in no mood to return back. It was also reported that she was bidding adieu to her Bollywood career. However, Nargis quashed the rumours later by tweeting, “Lookin forward 2finishing my assignment in daUS &being back 2start promoting #Banjo in a few weeks!#noplanstoquit #allelsearebaselessrumours.”
After Nargis’ tweet, Uday also expressed his views on the matter by releasing a statement where he had said, “I normally don't respond to gossip, but the press has been reporting a lot of fiction disguised as fact. I would just like to clarify that Nargis and I have been and still are very close friends. The press has done a wonderful job of creating stories out of thin air and I applaud their creativity. However these are all untrue.”
On work front, we’ll soon see Nargis sharing screen space with Riteish Deshmukh in ‘Banjo’, which is all set to release on September 23rd.
