Actor Randeep Hooda is leaving no stones unturned to get the perfect look of Sarbjit Singh for Omung Kumar’s upcoming biopic Sarbjit. Randeep has many looks in the film as the story spans over 23 years of Sarbjit’s life.
Commenting on the transformation, director Omung Kumar said, “The role needed Randeep to look very fragile with his bones being visible. He shed around 18 kg in 28 days, went through a strict diet and in fact, in the last few days, he was living completely on water. The moment I told him about the requirements of the role, Randeep agreed.” Randeep is not alone, another actor from B-Town who will be seen in a new avatar is Vir Das. Vir is starring in 31st October, a biopic on Davinder Singh, who survived a riot in the aftermath of Late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination.
The actor had to transform into a 65-year-old and had to go through many trial sessions to get his look right. It would take Vir three hours to put on his make-up and another three to remove it.
