Sonchiriya trailer: Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar take up fierce fight

Mumbai: The makers have released the trailer of Sushant Singh and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Sonchiriya'. The film is a crime drama set in Chambal during the 1975 emergency period of India. It is the first time Sushant and Bhumi will be starring together in a film.

After the gritty teaser, the new trailer shows the characters struggling in the ruthless world of dacoity and politics filled with violence.

Directed by 'Udta Punjab' fame Abhishek Chaubey, the film also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana.

While the film is a completely fictionalized account of the era, the premise of the story is real as there are bandits who fight with the policemen in many regions of the country. The actors underwent severe physical training to look the part and the trailer clearly shows their immense dedication.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies, Sonchiriya hits the screens on February 8.
